The Dodgers extends their winning streak to 10 gameS
Published : August 10, 2022 by Mykell Mathieu The Dodgers continue their winning ways even after trailing early by coming back to defeat the the Minnesota Twins, 8-5.
The Dodgers trailed 4-3 going into the bottom of the 5th inning when catcher Will Smith doubled to deep right center to bring in Trea Turner to tie it at four apiece. Big Blue wasn’t done!
In the sixth inning, Chris Taylor hit a go-ahead home run to put the Dodgers up 5-4. Los Angeles wasn’t done as Joey Gallo’s 3-run shot over the left center wall put the game away.
“Since the first day I got here, they said it’s not about immediate results, just about the process and getting back to the player I know I can be.” The former New York Yankee has played well his first two games in royal blue and white. “I think it’s just the work that we’ve been doing with the hitting coaches,” Gallo said of his success in their last two games.
The Dodgers are hopeful that Gallo could be another spark to a team who has been the best team in baseball most of the year. The team now travels to Kansas City to face the Royals to try to keep their winning streak going.
Dodgers fall at home to the Nationals

The Dodgers fail to keep up with the visiting Washington Nationals losing by a final score of 8-3. After starter Mitch White gave up two early runs, outfielder Mookie Betts, leadoff batter for the Dodgers hit his 23rd home run.
The scoring stalled until the fifth inning when former NL MVP Cody Bellinger hit his 13th home run of the year to tie the game up at 2 apiece. Later in the inning, Freddie Freeman’s sac fly brought Trayce Thompson home from third to take a 3-2 lead.
However, that’s when it all went downhill for Big Blue. The bullpen gave up 6 runs in the last two innings and the Dodgers fell for the second straight night to the Washington Nationals.
